OUR HUNTS:
OREGON SPRING TURKEY
The Oregon spring turkey hunt runs from April 15th - May 31st. It is an over the counter tag purchase for both resident and non-resident hunters. In our hunt locations, hunters can have up to 3 tags per year to harvest Rio Grande Wild Turkey Toms! Only one bird per day is allowed.
Umpqua valley outfitters is located in the heart of the Umpqua Valley, which has one of the highest populations of Rio Grande turkeys that Oregon has to offer. All turkey hunts are conducted on private ranches so the turkeys are unpressured, giving you the best chance on taking your trophy. The land is made up of rolling oak covered hills with areas of brush and green grass covered pasture land which makes absolutely perfect turkey habitat.
We strive to make your turkey hunt unforgettable. Early mornings start out before daylight either in a blind or sitting against an old oak tree. With the Decoys out all you have to do is sit back and enjoy the excitement as your professional guide calls a big o'l strutting tom into your lap. Mid morning will find us moving around the woods looking to strike up a tom and call him in to range. We have 95% success rate and 100% opportunity. So if you want to enjoy a unforgettable turkey hunt please contact us.
As with all of our hunts, your Wild Turkey hunt with us includes 1–on–1 Guide Service and Trophy Care.

COLUMBIA BLACKTAIL DEER
The Columbia Blacktail is considered one of the toughest deer species to hunt. These deer become mostly nocturnal at a young age, making hunting them challenging. The Umpqua Valley has a very good population of these sneaky deer. We will mostly be hunting private ranches, which are unpressured and managed to get the best quality bucks possible. Many mature bucks have a spread ranging from 16" to 20".
The ground we will be hunting is made up of rolling oak covered hills, brushy ridges, forest and old clear cuts, which makes prime habitat for the blacktail deer. I spend a considerable amount of time in the off season scouting, checking game cams, and patterning deer. Having access to some of the best private ground in Douglas County really increases the odds of harvesting one of these trophy deer.
Rifle hunts are mostly spot and stock using high quality optics and great vantage points to find your trophy. Bow hunts are in blinds or treestands over bait, as well as, and spot and stock. We also have good success calling and rattling.
As with all of our hunts, your Blacktail Deer hunt with us includes 1–on–1 Guide Service and Trophy Care.

COLUMBIAN WHITETAIL DEER
The Umpqua Valley, located in Douglas County Oregon, is the ONLY place in the world to harvest a Columbian Whitetail deer. This rare sub-species of Whitetail Deer was on the endangered species list since 1967. In 2005 they were delisted and a handful of tags were made available to the public.
I have numerous private ranches leased with good numbers of our coveted Columbian Whitetail Deer. Land Owner Preference (LOP) tags are available. I only host 2 LOP Columbian Whitetail deer hunts per year. Because they are limited, they are first come first serve. I manage and scout these ranches looking for the best bucks possible. In doing so, I only request LOP tags for the best 2 pieces of property to ensure top quality trophy opportunities and the best chance for you to complete your deer slam.
